About Kathi

Kathi Sohn is a transformational coach, award-winning author, and speaker who helps mothers of teens break the generational cycle of parenting from pain. Her mission took root in 2019, just before the world shut down, when she lost her husband of 25 years, David Sohn—the pioneer behind a powerful method for uncovering and releasing childhood vows, the deeply held beliefs formed before age seven that shape our lives in unseen ways. Inheriting his life’s work—over 30 years of case studies and nearly 900 documented vows—Kathi felt a profound calling to carry his legacy forward.

Through her signature program, Break the Cycle, Build a New Legacy, she guides mothers to heal their own emotional wounds, regulate their nervous systems, and reconnect with their children with presence and purpose. Her work empowers women to become the grounded, emotionally attuned leaders their families need. Kathi is also the author of the award-winning book You Made It Up, Now Stop Believing It, which explores the hidden power of childhood vows and how to release them.

We all carry hidden beliefs shaped in childhood—what Kathi Sohn calls our “Life Script.” These subconscious vows, written when we were too young to question them, quietly dictate how we show up at work, in relationships, and as parents.

In this eye-opening talk, Kathi helps audiences uncover the emotional decisions made in early life that still drive their adult patterns—especially fear, self-doubt, and people-pleasing.  Attendees leave with new awareness and hope—knowing that change is possible, and their story isn’t set in stone.
